Friday’s Fave # 57

FFF blue

Hooray for Friday’s – I live for them!!!  It’s been a busy week and I’m so ready for the weekend.

So if you are new to my blog Fave Five’s is hosted by Susanne and if you’d like more details head on over to her blog – Living to tell the Story.

So here’s my five for this week:

1.  That feeling of accomplishing something.  I’ve been meaning to join the group of bikers here in this community but every time the fear of  failure has gotten the better of me and I make up some excuse not to join them.  But this Monday I put my mind too it and just did it.  I’m so glad I did, and I’m so proud of  myself  because I made it.  We’re going again coming Monday.

2.  Beginning our Encouraging Women’s Fall fellowship session.  After a long summer break ( and break in every sense of the word – like a break in my prayer time, reading the bible etc) it was so wonderful to kick start things again – an opportunity to start again. I’m looking forward to the study I’ve chosen and am anticipating wonderful things to happen.

3.   Meeting new people.  So as I mentioned we kicked off our fellowship session and it was lovely to meet some new people.  I love to hear where people are from, where they’re coming from,  what’s brought them here and how are they settling and enjoying it(or not).  It just excites me.  There is a wealth of  information  to be gained and new relationships to build when there is diversity and I find that stimulating.

4.  So during fellowship I met a new friend who is here visiting her daughter.  She asked me where I was from and so I told her, {a[ua New Guinea. Not many people know where Papua New Guinea (PNG) is so I went on to point it out geographically but she told she knew exactly where it is, and she did because she once hosted about 10 young girls from PNG.  they  had travelled to California with a mission group.  I cannot tell you how excited I was that she knew where my home country is and that she met other young woman who have a heart for Jesus.

5.  Fresh flowers.  oh how they brighten up any room and any mood for that matter. The lady I bought these cuts from sells orchids on Fridays. (Friday is her orchid days) but I couldn’t make it out the back gate today. I wish I had, I love orchids. anyway maybe next week.

I hope you all had a great week and are ready for the weekend, wherever you are.

How wonderful that you joined the biking group. Good for you! That would take courage for me, too. You should be proud of yourself. And for meeting new people, too. I’m sure you were a blessing to them. Love the flowers! Enjoy your weekend.

It's always nice to meet new people especially when they are sympathic and friendly. What does PNG mean ??

I love fresh flowers, too! I saw where a local store has sunflowers on sale this week. I think I'm going to go get some - it would be awesome.

Good for you on joining the biking group. We all need to stretch ourselves by doing something new.

It sounds like your women's fellowship is going to be really interesting!

Meeting new people who love what you love, is wonderful! I love meeting people who actually know where Papua, Indonesia and PNG are! And yes, it's unusual.

The flowers--beautiful!

Good for you on joining the bike group! Woohoo! Meeting new people is wonderful, new friends await.

btw, we know where PNG is too! We studied it in our homeschooling. I can't wait to tell my girls that I 'met' someone from there! :)

Fresh flowers are one of my favorites, too. I have two boquets brightening my life just now - the ones my hubby gave me for my BD and a boquet my son brought me 2 and a half weeks ago! They are still looking lovely!

Yay for getting back to regular Bible Study with other ladies!
