Corner View - Pondering

We just got back from our trip to the border.  IMG_0522I’m still a little overwhelmed from what I saw and learnt.  Since our actual visit into the camp (which was Monday) you could say I’ve been pondering a lot these past 2 days.

What a timely theme for me. IMG_0467IMG_0474we sat together and we listened to a life testimony.  Joshua was so tired after helping and playing with the carnival games for the kids.

One look at the camp and the faces of the refugees ( a lot of them children), you want to hear everyone’s story, because they all do have a story to tell.

I’m still pondering over the realities of their lives. When I think of the alternative and what they ran away from ….. things are a little better.   But why does it have to be like that?

I’m still taking it all in.  I hope to share more later.

But for more on this theme from Juniper, visit Theresa.

I can see that pondering is a good topic for you today. A trip like this leaves one doing just that. The picture of you with Joshua is so sweet!

No doubt that this keeps you pondering! The little boy just closes his eyes and sleeps, lucky one! Seems you did a good job over there! And the landscape is beautiful!

Sometimes it is imposible not to think about some things...it is too difficult to try to understand all...and in those cases more.
Lovely photos

I don't know the answer to your question, and to injustice, poverty and suffering. I hope those kids have a chance to grow well and have good lives. I can imagine this visit is something that will stay with you.

Wow. I'm sure it was an experience that deserves much pondering. Every face has a story, and every story should be heard. Enjoyed the pictures...

Such varied expressions on their faces. I see hope, especially in one girl's face.
