Friday’s Fave Five – # 48

FFF spring

It’s been a while since I’ve been at Friday’s Fave Five.  Friday’s just have been busy and I’ve found it hard to sit and blog but today I’ve actually got the time.  And it’s good to be back.

Thanks Susanne for Friday’s Fave Five.  Click here for details if you’re wondering what Fave Five is..

Here are my Five for this week:

1.  A full week of school.  I know this might be a little strange but the girls have had school days cancelled due to the protesting here in Thailand so it was good to get through a week of school.

2.  Disney Land.  I don’t know how this place is  always able to make grown ups feel like kids.  I love it. And I know my kids will always love it.  But you know they have this smile on their faces when they see me and my husband genuinely enjoying  it like they are.   We spent a couple of days there last week and it was wonderful. Hong Kong was lovely too.

JJ and PlutoJJ just loving Pluto.

3. Still bike riding.  Although it’s really really hot in Thailand now I’ve still been able to get on the bike with Joshua and cycle around the lake in the mornings and sometimes in the afternoons.  It’s a great way to exercise and best of all Joshua loves it.

4. Loosing weight.  It’s slow but steady.  And I have to keep telling myself that steady is good.  The experts say it’s the best  way and healthy way to loose weight and that the weight stays off.  So it’s one day at a time.

5.  The LA Lakers.  They’re in the playoffs again which makes me happy.  I don’t think they go in as favorites but at least they’ve given themselves another shot at winning it all.  I was hoping that I would be writing this post boasting that they are 3-0 in their best of 7 series against the Oklahoma Thunder but they lost and so it’s now 2-1.   Before I go I wanted to give you this link.  I love the story and the courage of this little guy – you just gotta love Ezra Frech. ( I hope you are able to watch the video).

Happy Weekend Everyone.  For those of you in Australia and New Zealand – Happy Anzac Day!

I hear you on the one-day-at-a-time weight loss! Good for you for getting out on the bike!

I love Disneyland too. It's just a magical and fun place. I think it's GREAT that our kids can see us genuinely enjoying ourselves. Good thing to point out.

Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

You and ME sister! Slow & steady weight loss! That IS the way to do it - and we CAN do it!

Glad your family got to enjoy some time with Disney. It IS a great place for the kid in all of us.

Your headers are always soooo pretty.

It must be frustrating with the protests going on but it's good they want to keep the kids all safe and sound.

I have never been to Disney but would love to go one day.

Yay on a whole week of school! I'm such a routine person that it would bother me to miss several days off my schedule!

Congrats on losing weight! It's good you're riding your bike, too. I haven't started with mine yet. It's pretty enough to do it now so I have no excuse!

Glad you had a more normal week. Been praying about the turmoil in Thailand. Bike rides sound fun. And yes, steady weight loss is the best kind!

My family enjoys bike-riding. The picture of your son and Pluto is really cute. Thanks for sharing the link to the video. What a sweet story!

What do you do in Thailand? I was born and raised in Bangkok. We've been praying for Thailand regarding the unrest. Thanks for vising my blog today. I now follow yours.

Slow, steady weight loss is the best.

Disney is great when you have kids to take. I'm waiting for the grandkids for the next visit :)

Well, welcome back to FFF! That's terrific that your kids were able to complete a week of school without protests. It's good to look back on the week and be thankful, isn't it?
