Friday’s Favorite Five # 25

springtime FF5

Friday is upon us again and so here are my Favorite’s for this week.  For more Fave Five’s head on over to our host’s blog @ Living To Tell the Story.

1.   Rain.  I love rain.  At anytime of the day or night.  Especially at night’s though. The pitter patter is just so wonderful.

2.  Hearing my five year old say that she enjoyed her Yoga class.  I was nervous.  The school offers many after school activities and after going through the list I told Tanysha that she could choose from either “cooking, clay work or yoga” and she choose yoga.  It really was the cutest thing watching them lying still on their  mats and breathing.  I hope to get some photo’s in the weeks to come.

3.  Talking with my 9 year old about the different charity organizations that she could volunteer at and support through the After School Activity that she choose,  which was “Community Leaders' In Action”.  We talked about all the organizations and what they do.  She has this weekend to make her choice.

4.  Exercising.  Especially weight training.  My exercising use to be just running or some cardio – never weights. I didn’t like it much.  But since learning of the benefits of  weight training all I want to do is weights.  But my trainer is making sure that I am doing both.  Cardio and weights.

5.  Pretty toe nails.  I hate my feet.  I think they are ugly so it helps to have pretty toe nails.  And finger nails too.  Craziest thing is that it cost me 200baht for a manicure and pedicure.  Converted to USD – $6.80.

So there you have it.  I hope you’ve all had a great week.

And have a Happy Weekend.

I've always wondered about yoga. And the after-school activities at your children's school sound wonderful to me. Guess what... the ground floor of one building at my workplace today was flooded. When I talked about rain for my FFF I was inside my cozy little apartment watching the rain from my porch.

Have a great weekend!

I like rain best at night, it makes for good sleeping weather.

$6.80 for a mani and a pedi? That's crazy! I'd get them done every week if that is all it cost ...

What a beautiful photo in your header!

It is so good to get children interested and involved in charities so early.

Good for you on #3. I took a weight training class years ago, but didn't keep up after the class. It seemed so boring. But now with ipods and such, maybe I'll try again. Oh, and if you get any extra rain, do forward them to me, please!

Well this is a first for me. Seeing toenails in a FFF. WELL DONE! I'm excited to hear what your daughter decides. That's awesome. I like rain as well...cleans everything. Have a great weekend my friend. Aloha :)

Wow under $7.00 for a manicure and pedicure! That's quite a deal. I have to put some weight training back in my schedule. Enjoy your weekend...

I love tropical rainstorms, they are the best. I love your pedicure also, your feet look great!

Love the color of your polish. I much prefer the dark colors to light pinks on toes.

Rain is a wonderful thing. As long as it stays the pitter patter kind and not the deluge kind. LOL. I love taking walks in the rain.

The girls sound like they are settling into the school year very nicely.

I am WITH you -- I soooooo love rain! And I would really love it at night - with the windows open IF I didn't have to sleep with EAR PLUGS to block out hubby's snoring! Thus it blocks out the rain too... *sigh*

You are so blessed to get mani AND pedi for under $7! Wow! If I could get JUST a pedi for that, I would get one EVERY DAY! LOL! My feet are so bad! I truly DO need one every week! I don't GET one every week -- but my feet sure could USE one! I get one every 3 weeks. For MUCH more than $7! LOL!

How WONDERFUL that your daughter is enjoying yoga! I loved MY yoga classes... I need to get back into them -- as well as back to cardio AND weight training!

Sounds like you have just had a grand week!

What's wrong with your feet? They look pretty to me!! And if you like rain so much, try living in Belgium eh?
Well, that's not entirely true, not this Summer anyway? We've been blessed with a lot of sunshine!!
