I can’t believe that I’ve been consistent with my exercise for a whole week. If you know me I’m not very good at being consistent. But I’ve managed to get on the treadmill and walk and run and sweat and pant for a whole week.
Wow I am amazed at myself.
So after a week today is weigh in day. You know like how they do it at Weight Watchers. My moment of truth. I stepped on the scale and (drum role please)
I lost……..
1 POUND.
1 Stinking pound. Ugh I can’t believe that. I probably sweat more than a pound this week.
Oh it’s hard to believe that it was only a pound but I refuse to be discouraged. At least it was a pound huh. Scales moving in the right direction isn’t it? Please tell me that one pound is good?
Anyway it’s a new day today, the start of another week. I’ve recorded my one pound loss and I’m going to do it all over again for another week.

ok Kari, I'll join you. Maybe that will make the 2nd week easier. I'm CERTAIN (said with a funny loud crazy uplifting voice) that you must have had some salt or something. YOU MUST be retaining water. something must be strange. This week is sure to be a double loss. YEAH!!
Hi Jodi,
I hope you are right that I'm just retaining something!!
A pound is great! it´s better to lose weight slowly because it´s easier to keep off. keep at it! soon you´ll be craving to workout. trust me- i´ve been there. right now i´m off to swim laps... besos!
good for you! oh, and btw, 1 pound is good if your diet is mainly about exercising and not eating less calories. when you work and tone your muscles, you burn the fat. but muscles weigh more than fat. so sometimes people who start exercise can actually gain some weight to begin with, while the body is starting to look much slimmer and well defined. so you keep on going - you're doing the right thing :)
I agree with the above - 1 pound is good - keep going :-)
Thanks for the encouragement ladies.
Slow and steady does it!!
