Although there is a time difference and I have to get up in the wee hours of the morning to watch, I’ll still wake up to watch the NBA playoffs.   I know I’m crazy!

Children going back to school.

Homemaking Tip for this week:

Sorry no tip.

Favorite Blog post of the Week: (mine of other):

I don’t have one single blog. Actually there were a heap of blogs that I visited this week after I joined in on the fun of “Corner View” hosted by Jane at “Spain Daily”. The premise is to post a picture from your corner of the world – wherever you are. It’s exciting to see such great pictures and such a neat way to travel the world.

Head on over there to join in on the fun and see what picture it will be this week.

Favorite photos from last week:

I actually have 3 photos.  First one:

Lessons learned the past few days:

I’m still working at trying to habitually read my bible.  I’m not the most disciplined person when it comes to reading my bible.  It’s like I know what I should do but just don’t or can’t. So I don’t feel like I’m ready to move on from this lesson yet.  I’m trying to create a plan, see when is the best time for me to read – the mornings or the evenings?

Lesson Learned - I love to read and so often I pick up books that I really enjoy reading about God through other people’s lives and experiences and what they have learnt about God, or what God did in their lives. It’s great and it’s wonderful to learn from others but I’m realizing that I cannot experience God fully through someone else’s experiences. I need to seek God for myself and experience Him the way He wants me too. And this can only really be done by reading the Bible – myself. Getting lost in it and asking God to show me what he means. I need to get back the the basics of spending time reading the bible.

On My Prayer List:

Dad final chemo sessions

My husband who will be away for a couple of days – boo hoo

My children

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verse:

This bible verse:

9And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father [have personal knowledge of Him, be acquainted with, and understand Him; appreciate, heed, and cherish Him] and serve Him with a blameless heart and a willing mind. For the Lord searches all hearts and minds and understands all the wanderings of the thoughts. If you seek Him [inquiring for and of Him and requiring Him as your first and vital necessity] you will find Him; but [a]if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever!

1 Chronicles 28:9 (translation from Amplified Bible – bold and italics my own)

And this quote:

In Youth we learn, In age we understand.

Marie Von Ebner-Eschenbach.

Thanks to Sandra for hosting this over at Diary of a SAHM.  Why not head on over there to check out what others are doing.

Neat post! Your Thai chicken and skirt look great! In highschool, I was an avid bball fan...don't watch as much now! Who are you rooting for? :)

Have a great Monday!

Thanks for your comment! Your kids ARE so beautiful! I'm curious about your story - how did you come from PNG to Thailand? I also love Thailand - it's very similar to Western Indonesia, where I also lived for some time. I'm jealous of the things you get to do and see over there! :)
