Friday’s Fave Five - #2

This week has gone by so fast, I can’t believe it.  But it is Friday so here’s my Fave Five of the week.

1.  Clean Pools – I love it when the pool is clean.  It’s heating up over  here now so it’s always great to see the pool – clean!  We will be spending a lot of time in there this weekend.

2. Parent/Teacher Conferences for both girls.  I love to meet with the girls teachers and find out how they’re doing in school.  I always go in there with a little apprehension but it always turns out to be for nothing.  I’m happy to say that both girls are doing well. But what is most important to me is that  they’re happy.  Happy to be learning, happy to be at school and happy to be with their friends.

3.  The support and encouragement of my friends and my community.  Being so far away from home and having to take care of my Dad  it has been great to hear from friends that they have been praying for me and my Dad.  It really is uplifting.

4. Blogging fellowship and encouragement. – this week I participated in the Modest Fashion Week and I’ve been so encouraged to know that there are women out there like me who just want to become more and more like Christ.  It’s wonderful to hear of their journeys and their experiences and growth and challenges. I have really enjoyed this series and have learnt much I’ve also been challenged to get out of my “bleach stained T-shirts and sweat pants/shorts and dress like the daughter of the King!!

Hebrew 10:25  (The Message- part of the verse)

Let's see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching.

5.  Take Out/Home Delivery.  - I love Friday’s because it’s my night off from the kitchen and our night for take out.  Tonight we had Thai food.  1000 Baht ($30 usd) to feed 6 people.  We were even able to get dessert -  New York Cheese cakes.  Oh I love Fridays.

Have a great Weekend Everyone.

Swimming! I have a heated community pool where I live and I don't go much anymore. Note to self: get out the swimsuit!

I love Thai food! Pad thai, green curry, MMmmm!

Friday is my no cook night too, but I wish I could feed six for $30 takeout. What a great deal over there.

The pool looks very inviting!
