London Was…..

Rich.

Rich in it’s multicultural diversity and history.    Oh the history of the place was fascinating.  So much history -  the events, the dates, the times, the influences they have today because of their history, so much to absorb in such little time.

I was a little overwhelmed but I was determined to take in every moment.

We did the typical tourist stuff – London Eye, Big Ben, Madame Tussaud’s, British Museum, the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, St. George Chapel at Windsor castle (sorry no photo’s-not allowed),  and Stone Henge.  Oh I nearly forgot - the Roman Baths.  I never knew that the Romans travelled there and settled.  IMG_1231IMG_1265IMG_1345It was amazing to see the bath and how it was constructed.  And  the water from the bath – uggh it looked filthy.  Apparently it’s the same water since back in the day!!

I know for certain there is so much more to do and so I hope to go back there again one day.   I would have loved to see  more museums, maybe an art gallery or 2 but I thought it would be pushing it a little with a very excited and hyperactive 2 year old.

I have more photo’s but I won’t be posting them here, but if you are interested you can find them over at my other blog.  I should maybe open  a flickr account but don’t feel like it right now!

I loved London and I really do hope to go back.

Wow! I have to say that I'm jealous. What a fun and photo friendly vacation!

I loved London and its multiculturalism - it was the first experience ever for me: my country had a history of emigration only, and until recently no immigrants came or smuggled here.

Oh, how I love these photos. I've always longed to visit the Roman baths... reading your post gives me a glimpse into the world of Britain. Thanks : )
