Corner View “Spring”

DSC05519Thailand only has 3 seasons.  The dry/cool season (nov-feb), the hot season (march-june) and the rainy season (july-october).  For me that translates to hot, very hot and too darn hot and humid.

Right now it’s very hot and we are bracing ourselves for the “too darn hot” season and the dreaded power bill that comes along with it!!DSC05525One thing  for certain is this,  for the weather that we have here all year round there is always a beautiful display of all sorts of  flowers.  It’s gorgeous.

Here are some of the flowers that I see almost every morning as I exercise around the lake and also have at home.  I’m trying to learn how to cultivate orchids on my own.  They say it’s easy but I’m not so sure.

So pretty. I love pink blossoms. I can relate to your response to constant hot weather. There are many measures I take to stay comfortable in our hot season (now til mid November). I stay indoors a lot, I spray myself with water often, and keep a bottle in my car and house, we also have to draw the shades a lot, and use fans. Try not to use a/c, but sometimes have to. And we have a pool, thank God. We get very little rain...wish we had more. Stay cool :)

I was always hit with the humidity when I got off the plane during the very hot season. I can't believe I miss it! I do love the flowers...

Your pictures are so beautiful. your orchids are awesome. I am no gardener but I kept my orchids "in the wild", in a shady environment (on a tree trunk) and they just live and flower. A spread of fertiliser once in a while would help.
