It’s late but I just wanted to share that today “International Day” was a success.
First up was the parade of nations. and then the children visited classrooms that were turned into countries.
Here’s an example of 2 countries:
below are the rice fields of Thailand. and different types of rice from Thailand.
My girls had lots of fun learning about the different countries through play. They did arts and crafts and also some tasting, smelling and seeing foods from around the world.
Rohan and I also enjoyed sharing our country with these young and curious minds.
these kids along with their teacher were asking why shells are important in PNG while making themselves a necklace. experiencing how to scrape a coconut.
I am so convinced that through such experiences like this they become better people and great ambassadors for themselves and their countries.
It was a wonderful day.
(but now I’m tired and ready for bed)

What a great way for kids to learn! I love your girls head pieces!
So interesting, Kari! I would have loved stringing some necklaces with shells, and tasting some of that Jasmine Rice! I love rice, but we don't get many varieties here.
Great photos!! I love the costumes what they are wearing!
Hope you have a great weekend!
