Happy Homemaker Monday - #10

On My Bedside Table:

My Bible

101 Things to Do Before You’re Old and Boring

The Best Laid Plans by Sidney Sheldon

On My TV:

Shrek 2. Tanysha has no school today and tomorrow so she’s home.

On the Menu for tonight:

I have someone cooking for me tonight so I know it’ll be several Thai dishes.

On My To Do list:

Finalize all the items to put in my booth/stall for International Day.

make invitations for Tanysha’s birthday party·

Exercise – cardio and strength training.

Go through what’s in the house again.  We have a church garage sale coming up – so time to give away again. All the monies raised goes to the Rainbow House Orphanage here in Thailand.  I love the opportunities to purge.

(I’ve managed 3 out of 4 – my day’s not finished yet)

New Recipe I Tried Last Week:

Nothing

In the craft Basket:

Class Quilt Project.  My daughter’s class is making a quilt and each child has a piece to complete.  At the end all the pieces will be put together for one large quilt.  The quilt is to be auctioned at the end of the school year.

Looking Forward to:

the weekend.  I know the weeks just started but I’m anticipating a  busy week so I’m looking forward to the weekend already.

International Day

Homemaking Tip for this week:

I found this tip at Brooke’s Blog on how to clean your oven window.  Check it out.  It worked for me.

Favorite Blog post of the Week: (mine of other):

So many, I  just can’t  name one for this week.

Favorite photo from last week:

PNG faceI wish I could say I took this photo but I can’t because it’s a picture from flickr.  I was putting together a faces of PNG slide for International Day and I came across this photo.  I think it’s so cool.  It is of a traditional dancer.

Lessons learned the past few days:

That our children’s schools really do depend on the partnership of it’s parents.  And it is the schools that have great parent participation and partnership that thrive.

On My Prayer List:

Family – both sides.

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verse:

Ecclesiastes 4:12 (New Living Translation)

A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.

I just love the verse above and because I braid my daughters hair I see the analogy.  It is so true and applied to marriage even more so.  God needs to be front and centre.

Want to join in on the fun head on over to Sandra’s at “Diary of a SAHM”.  Thanks Sandra for hosting HHM.
