Friday’s Fave Five - #10

friday_fave_five_spring

I love Friday’s and today it’s even sweeter because my husband has the day off and so do my girls. It is a national holiday today.  I’ve noticed that Thailand has a lot of national holidays.

Anyway it is that time of the week to look back and share my favorites for this week.  If you want to share your fave five click here to find out what it’s about. Thanks to our host Susanne at Living to Tell the Story.

So here’s my five for this week:

1.  Internet, the www.com – honestly I don’t know what I would do without it!  I guess we have come a long way in technology that sometimes it’s hard to remember what it was like when we weren’t so connected.  It’s so awesome how connected we can be and the plethora of information available to us is just so great.  The internet makes my fave five this week because it  was wonderful to be able to get pictures and information for International Day.

International Day was a success, not only for me but all the other stalls.  It was so wonderful.  The world really isn’t that big anymore.  It was a beautiful thing seeing the children’s eager faces and their interest in learning about other countries. (post and pictures to come later).

2. Exercise and Sleep.  It was a busy week but I was able to get in some exercise during the week.   And I’ve decided that a good workout does help you get a goodnight’s sleep.  I’ve read that exercise does help you rest better and this week it actually happened to me.  My son also helped me out by sleeping longer throughout the night.  He’s such a good boy!

3. Crocs. I got myself a pair (like the ones below) this week. And let me just say they are so comfortable.  They are a little pricey but I have suffered from plantar fasciitis and that was not cool so I am careful when it comes to buying shoes.  Comfort comes first, not so much style, but I think these are pretty cute.

4.  This bible verse:

Ecclesiastes 4:12 (New Living Translation)

A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.

I don’t  need to explain this verse, it speaks for itself.  I’m so thankful for the reminder that God must be front and center in my marriage.

5. M&M’s.  I love these things.  Maybe a little too much but I gotta get a chocolate fix.  And I love that even in this heat it doesn’t melt in your hands!!!!

peanut m&m's

Happy Friday everyone and Have a good weekend.

….* For those of you who read my fave five last week I did take photos of our special and  busy day but will I share later.  Hope you come back to check out the post and pictures.

MMMMmmmm...M&Ms! Dark chocolate for me.

I have to be very careful about what shoes I wear too. I'll have to look for those crocs for summer.

Happy Mother's Day!

I don't think I've seen this version of crocs yet. We love our m&m's around here, too. Your kids are all so darn cute...I was just looking in your side bar :0)
Have a lovely weekend.

I think you are right about exercise, it is almost as important as sleep.

I love those crocks! Very cute. Crocks can be so comfortable.

I give a hearty "Amen!" to your entire list, Kari. Especially the Bible verse. And the M&Ms. And the cute (and comfortable) new shoes. And the exercise and sleep connection. And the Internet.

Yep. The entire list. :-)

I"m so glad that International Day went so well. I don't really care for Crocs...they are too pricey and they cover too much of my feet and I don't like those bumps in the sole. LOL. I so love M&M's Have a great weekend and Happy Mother's Day :)

Those are very nice looking crocs. I wish I could wear flip flops.

Great list! Glad to hear your International Day went well.

Ooh, those look like peanut m&m's! Those are a real weakness of mine.

I'm on the hunt for some comfortable sandals. I had foot surgery last summer, and like you I'm looking for comfort first. It's nice when you can find BOTH comfort and style!
