Corner View – Contrasts.

Welcome to Corner View.

This weeks theme is “Contrasts”.  Hmm contrasts.  Well there are so many out there.  So to help me out,  here is one definition (there are many) from the web :

To show differences when compared:

So firstly here is a contrast in Bangkok, Thailand that I’m sure is also true in many other parts of the world.

DSC06610[4]Sky rise buildings will always make you look up and notice the beauty and nice things but up front,  and closer to the ground well,  there is the reality.  Filled with people who can only look up and wish.  This is always a sad reality.

This picture was taken from the expressway on my way home.

Secondly, well this one is close to my heart and makes my life all the more interesting.

Siblings;

who contrast sharply in their interests and abilities.DSCF5845

It’s kind of crazy sometimes that these kids have the same mother and father – but are also 3 totally different children in their own right.

Which makes my job (and my husbands) that much more tricky.  One size (or same rules, discipline etc, etc etc)  definitely does not fit all!!

Your picture of the city really does ring true, and it truly is a sad statement.
I love the pictures of your kids. I have 3 also, and mine are grown. In some ways they are so similar and in others, worlds apart! The picture of Joshua makes me smile!

What beautiful shots of your kids, Kari! You're so right about the one size not fitting all!

You have such beautiful children!

And your first contrast, the one between wealth and poverty, is all too prevalent around the world.

Thank for another thought provoking Corner View!

What sweet pictures of your kids. You are so right - there are always contrasts with children, even in the same family.

The view of the contrast in the city is quite striking. Great job capturing it.

What sweet children you have :) Can't imagine having such huge contrast between rich and poor right outside your home. But it's true. That contrast is much too common all over the world. Great interpretation of this week's theme

Thought provoking. I always have noticed how rarely siblings are similar, in fact, how often do we hear someone say, "my kids are all so similar?"

:)

Great photos of contrasts!
I agree, sometimes it's really surprising the differences between brothers & sisters!
