My Monday is coming to an end. But I wanted to share it with you all.
Thanks to Sandra at “Diary of a Stay at Home Mom” who plays host. Make sure to visit.
The weather in my neck of the woods: It was hot again today. And now it’s raining and it will be hot again after the rain! But the good thing about the rain – all will be clean and clear tomorrow.
One of my simple pleasures: weekends with nothing scheduled.
On my bedside table: Magazine and other stuff. (I’m looking for some ideas)
On my TV: TV is off.
On the menu for tonight: Spaghetti with Sautéed Chicken and Grape Tomatoes.
On my done List:
- · got Joshua’s Long Stay Visa Approved
- · paid bills
- · planned the weeks menu
- · sent emails
- called home
New Recipe I tried last week: Salmon with Avocado and Snow Peas.
this was yummy!!
the picture is from my Prevention magazine, from the Flat Belly Diet!!
I forgot to take a picture of my dinner plate last week. It didn’t look as good as this picture but it tasted every bit how I imagined it to be – delicious!!
In the craft basket: Nothing. I’m running out of time though for Halloween costumes. I refuse to buy them so I’m going to have to think of something soon.
Looking forward to: Attending a MOPS (Mother’s of Preschoolers) meeting tomorrow. A friend and I found a group here in Bangkok so we’re giving it a go. I use to be part of a group back in the US and I loved the ministry. Very practical.
I’m also looking forward to term break and a view like this…
Homemaking Tip for this week: To bob and weave your way through the grocery store. Especially if you have a list just work your way through to the aisles you need to be. Don’t shop aisle by aisle.
I tried this and it works. No unnecessary stuff!! ( like the M&M’s …. hehehe, they always manage to get in the basket somehow!!)
Favorite Blog Post of the week (mine or other): All the Corner View bloggers. It is such a cool way to travel the world.
Favorite photos from last week:
Instead of ice cream we decided to do yoghurt with whatever topping tickled your taste buds.
Lesson learned the past few days: My children do not have to be friends with my friends children. Of course it’s great when that happens, but if it doesn’t as a parent I need to be sensitive about that.
On my Prayer List:
- family and friends.
- Bible study group and lesson.
- Upcoming school holiday
Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
This bible verse:
Ecclesiastes 3:1
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven.
And this inspirational quote:
“We cannot direct the wind, but we can adjust the sails”.
Dolly Parton
Happy Week Everyone!
