Home Again.

On the flight home today JJ and I sat next to a passenger from France coming to Thailand for a second visit as a tourist.

I said that Paris was beautiful and so very lovely and the response I got with the French accent, mmmm it’s okay, it’s okay, I prefer Thailand.

Ha, such is life.

We had a wonderful time in Europe and I fell in love with the places we visited and the history. But it’s good to be back home.  The first thing my husband and I did was have a spicy dish for dinner.

Oh yes, we missed the spicy food!!

Home Again.

Corner View “ME”

Last time round I introduced myself.  A year later not a lot has changed. 

I dream , I laugh, I cry. And there are days when I would gladly give away my kids but when their tiny heads hit their  pillows at night, I hug them and love them and of course I still drink way too much coffee. 

But more and more each day I see myself in my kids.

Do your parents sometimes  say “I remember you used to do that too when you were young”!

I’ve heard my mum say this to me and even my Dad would say the same thing when he’d see my children do something that reminded him of me…….  “that’s what you used to do to.”

They see “me” in my children.

There is no limit, no measure, no end to this love.

You belong……. literally…….. to each other.

That little girl is yours, and you are hers. That boy is priceless……the joy of your soul.

Keeping Calm

Packing is not, and has never been my forte, it drives me crazy.  What kind of shoes,  how many pairs, remember diapers, nappy rash cream…what will the weather be like? etc, etc.  Will it be warm, or raining or freezing?  Uggh!

It makes me go all crazy and stressed.  Today I’ve been trying real hard to keep calm.  Reminding myself that I’ve done this many times before and there really is no need to stress.  I know what to do.  I do.

Just stay calm, go through my lists and tick stuff off one by one. 

26  more hours till we get on that plane……I’m counting!

Friday’s Fave Five # 53

Time to look back on the week and share those little and big things that made it a good week.

For more Fave Five’s check out “Living to Tell the Story.” thanks Susanne, you are a great host.

1.  Well firstly our visa’s were approved so we are on our way next week and I can’t wait.

2.  massages.  i enjoy any type of a body massage but lately a Herbal compress massage has been my favorite.  It’s a thai massage first and then they roll a herbal compress to my muscles.  The compress is warm and it just such a great feeling on the  muscles –(especially after doing a week of Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred!!)

3.  Speaking of Jillian’s 30 Day Shred I’m still loosing weight, and so is my husband.  I lost another 2 pounds and my husband is happy about where the scale is for him.  We are both excited about it but I think it’s more about  feeling good about ourselves and just having more energy to keep up with all the summer activities!

4.  Keeping cool.  It’s been very hot here lately and so we are beating the heat in the pool.

5.  Playing around with the camera.  Oh there is so much for me to still learn to be able to enjoy the camera.

I wish these photo’s turned out clearer.  Thank goodness for digital camera’s where we can just click delete!!

Awkward

Even though I’ve lived here for almost 3 years my Thai language skills are still not very good.  They are very basic.  Just enough to get by.  words like  hello, thank-you, how are you, how much.  that sort of thing.

So when I returned to a yoga class a couple of weeks ago I didn’t know that the class would be in Thai. It was interesting to say the least.  I did have to pay extra attention at how the instructor and those around me where doing the poses.  it felt uncomfortable and awkward but I got through it. 

I did come away with a few more Thai phrases, like left and right, front and back.  Oh and I learnt how to count backwards in Thai.

I’m still going back for more yoga and thai lessons too. not all the classes are in Thai but it doesn’t matter now, as long as I am going.

Still Raining……

It’s still raining here and we’re trying to keep ourselves busy indoors.   Actually my kids are keeping themselves busy while I’ve been on the road fighting the traffic to get to where I need to to submit application forms for visas.  the paper work required for a visa is so crazy these days and I wonder  why they ask for so much information, like bank accounts for my kids!  Now don’t you think that’s a bit crazy? (I guess it’s a different world today)

Anyway we diligently provided everything they requested and now we just wait…… and hope that we can travel….
