What to Do ??

2 weeks into summer break and my children are bored!! Well at least Renee isn't so much. She is at Summer School and although she won't admit it, I think she is having fun. She's getting up every morning to go so it must not be all bad!!

Tanysha is the one who is bored. She has always been very good at entertaining herself and manages to create, and imagine her own games. But after 2 weeks I think it's getting a little tiring. I was so thankful that my friends came and picked her up to go play with their children today. She was reluctant to go but eventually went with them and now she cannot wait for the next play date which she won't have to travlel much because it will be here at home.

We usually travel during the summer break but with a new Baby there is definately no travelling this time!! Last summer we were still is the US and we were getting ready to attend the TNT (Tumbling & Trampoline) National Championship in Memphis. Renee qualified so we decided to go - just for her to experience it and also to see a little bit more the the US before we left. I was pleased with Renee's efforts. It was such a huge stage and for her first time she did well.

This time round we are just travelling locally here in Thailand. Many wonderful beaches but after just having a baby the beach isn't exactly on my mind right now!!!!

Party Photo's.

Here are some photo's that I just downloaded. I really didn't take that many - it was kind of crazy.

Well we had gymnastics party for Tanysha. It was fun and I know the kids had fun running freely, jumping on the trampolines and learning new stuff. I know the parents were excited to see their kids !!

Tanysha still a Nemo fan.

Kids waiting for instructions for the next activity.

waiting their turn to attempt forward rolls.

Tanysha's turn to attempt a forward roll.

Party Day !!!

Party day has finally arrived and I am surprisingly calm.

I usually panic whenever I have to host something - whether it be a party for grown ups or a bunch of excited 4 year olds.
My husband is great and he keeps on reminding me that it is a party for Tanysha and her friends and not necessarily their parents. But as a women that's hard to remember sometimes.

Well got to go - have to finish of the cupcakes and load up the goody bags. Actually before I go just want to share an observation that I've made while here in Thailand and after attending a couple of B'day parties here that Renee and Tanysha have been invited too.

I've noticed that the Thai children here are not so big on candy. What I'm use to putting in goody bags is not what we've received in the goody bags that my kids have brought home after they've been to parties. Again the Thai children are just not into candy. So I'm stressing out a bit here with my goody bags.

Anyway got to go - have to feed Joshua, put icing on the cupcakes and check on the food order for the party oh and I've got to make sure that everything will fit into the car.

I will share photo's later from the party!!

4 years ago to this day I went into labor and gave birth to my second child, Tanysha Simoi Baure. (It also happened to be Father's Day that year!)

Time has flown by so quickly - I can't believe she's now 4 and at school. It only seems like yesterday when I was changing her diapers. Where did the time do? - oh how they grow so quickly.

We're having a party for her tomorrow - a gymnastics party and she cannot wait. She has been excited all week.

Happy Birthday again Tanysha - you bring us lots of joy, happiness and laughter!!

Girls First Meeting with Joshua.

I know it's now nearly 2 weeks but I have fianlly come around to downloading the photo's from my camera.

I must say I was a bit anxious as to how my Renee and Tanysha would react with the arrival of their little brother and I must admit that it was all for nothing. They love their little brother and have been excited since his arrival. Tanysha is my little reporter and announcer. She will announce to anyone and everyone very proudly that "my mummy has had our baby" - the doctor's finally pulled him out of her tummy...... "

I remember announcing to them nearly 8 months ago that they were going to have a brother. They were disappointed - they wanted a girl. But they are very happy now and they don't even remember telling me that they wanted another girl in our family.

Here are some photo's of their first meeting ...................

Renee; "can't believe I'm carrying him".

Tanysha; "Look I think he's smiling at me!"

I can honestly say that when I see my girls admire and love their brother it brings tears to my eyes. And that "labor" of love is so worth it..... Can't even recall the pain of those how many hours I was in labor!!!!

Bitter Sweet...

My NBA season came to a crashing end today and I am so disappointed. The L. A Lakers were blown out by the Boston Celtics it was so depressing. It kind of spoiled my day. I was hoping the Lakers could at least push it to 7 games and maybe pull out the greatest comeback. But it was not too be.

I am proud of what they accomplished this season though and I guess I can only look forward to an even better season come November. It should be great!!

Go Lakers 08/09!!

After 2 weeks

My son is now 2 weeks old and we are enjoying him very much. He sleeps well and is content. As long as he is fed and dry he is a happy boy.

Looking back 2 weeks ago I cannot believe how calm I was even when the contractions started to get stronger and shorter. And in Bangkok traffic is just crazy and that is what I was most worried about - getting caught inthe traffic, but thankfully that did not happen.
This delivery was probably the easiest (are they ever really easy??!!). Well let me rephrase that - this delivery was better because it wasn't as stressful or exhausting as they were for my girls. And thank God for Epidurals - they are great!!

The medical staff were great and my stay in the hospital was even better. Crazy thing is the hospital was more like a hotel. The food was great and what's even more crazy is that I could order Starbucks from my room. Now that was just crazy!!!
My baby was well and healthy but he remained in the nursery while I rested. They would only bring him in to be breastfed. It was great.
It was also great to be back at home after spending 3 nights in the hospital.
All in all things went well.
